Where the data comes from

Course data comes from published Icelandic scorecards. Par, length and stroke index are facts about a course, not an authored work. Courses built from OpenStreetMap carry their ODbL attribution all the way to the phone. Clubs that want a course corrected or added can send their scorecard and it is imported by hand.

Only courses with a complete scorecard — par and stroke index for every hole — enter the catalog. A half-mapped course is worse than a missing one, because the app would score against the wrong card.
