CHANGELOG · WHAT CHANGED
Every release,
written down.
MeshGolf uses semantic versioning. Each release lists what changed for golfers.0.14.1
- Open sign-in directly from Clubhouse and clearly explain that courses need no account.
- Find courses by club or location, browse the full catalog, and distinguish connection errors from empty results.
- Keep mobile web navigation readable and hide empty profile settings when signed out.
- Clarify scorecard scrolling, selected navigation, and settings icons; simplify empty round history.
0.14.0
- Android clubhouse with friends, private profiles, photos, shared rounds, reactions, comments, and an unread inbox.
- Home shortcuts for invitations, personal profile, and consent-based friends playing now.
- Local goals, achievements, and opt-in friend challenges; all features remain free.
- Selected rated rounds can provide a clearly labelled MeshGolf handicap estimate without replacing a player's entered value.
- Readable variable-font weights and a shorter Home hero keep round actions easy to find.
- Tournament alerts separate personal match updates, bounded tournament changes, and final results.
0.13.0
- Find a friend by their exact email address, send and answer friend requests, remove friends, and block or unblock players. Other players' email addresses are never shown.
- The website profile is now a private social clubhouse. Profiles start hidden; each player may share theirs with friends or members of the same group.
- Backed-up rounds remain private until their owner explicitly posts one for friends or one group. Posts have an audience selector, full scorecard detail, three friendly reactions, plain-text comments, and owner moderation.
- A private inbox collects friend requests, accepted requests, reactions, and comments, with read and unread state.
0.12.0
- See your profile on the website: your rounds, your groups, and what your friends have shared, in English or Icelandic.
- Fixed cloud round backup, which had never worked. Backing up a round from the app failed silently against the server; rounds now save and appear in your history.
- A new Games tab in the app, with Wolf standings for your group. The Wolf rotates each hole, partner choices need the group's agreement before they count, and stakes are points only — never money.
- Refreshed artwork throughout the app and the website.
0.11.0
- The app you download is now a proper signed release build: smaller, optimised, and signed with MeshGolf's own production key so future updates install over it cleanly.
0.10.0
- A real scorecard in the round view: par, stroke index and metres for every hole, with your score marked the way a card marks it — rings under par, squares over.
- Play Stableford with your cloud group. Two points for a par, more for better, and a blow-up hole costs you the hole rather than the round.
- Shared rounds now show your score to par, not just the stroke total, so rounds on different courses can finally be compared.
- Nine-hole courses no longer show eighteen rows, and switching from an eighteen-hole course no longer carries the old back nine into your total.
0.9.0
- Every course now carries all of its tees — 172 tee sets across the 61 courses — with the real length of each hole from each tee, plus course and slope rating.
- The tee you get is the one printed first on the card, not whichever sorted first by accident.
0.8.0
- Every Icelandic golf course with a published scorecard is now in the catalog: 61 courses, from Jaðarsvöllur to Vestmannaeyjavöllur, with the real par, length and stroke index for every hole.
- Scorecards are imported from published Icelandic course cards.
- Courses previously built from map data were replaced by the published cards, which are more accurate.
0.7.0
- Download courses from a public catalog. No account needed — search a course by name, download it, and it works offline from then on.
- The first eight Icelandic courses are in, built from OpenStreetMap data: Grafarholt, Hvaleyri, Húsatóftir, Urriðavöllur, Vestmannaeyjar, Korpúlfsstaðir, Ekkjufell and Landið. More follow as their scorecards are added.
- Courses are no longer created on the phone. Course data now comes from the catalog, so everyone playing the same course scores against the same card.
- Courses show where their data came from and credit its source.
- Browse the whole catalog on the website at /courses.html, in English or Icelandic, without installing anything.
0.6.0
- Play a Nassau with your cloud group: the front nine, back nine and full round settle as three separate matches, and equal strokes halve a segment.
- See who is actually in a cloud group. Names and roles only — never an email.
- Courses can finally reach the cloud catalog. Course search had nothing to find before, because nothing could put a course there.
0.5.0
- Play skins with your cloud group: the lowest score on a hole wins it, tied holes carry to the next, and the app shows the tally and what is still in the pot.
- Skins settle per course and hole count, using each player's best shared round, so sharing the same course twice cannot double your chances.
0.4.0
- Sign in to the Android app with your email and a one-time code, and see your profile. No more pasting a session token by hand.
- An account stays optional: scoring, local courses and nearby groups work signed out, and signing out leaves your rounds on the phone.
- Fixed cloud features silently failing in the app because every network call ran on the main thread.
0.3.1
- Rank shared rounds separately per hole count, so a 9-hole score no longer outranks a better 18-hole round.
0.3.0
- Share a backed-up round with a cloud group and see a best-total leaderboard.
- Sharing stays explicit and per group: rounds are private until you share them, and you can unshare at any time.
- Leaving a group hides the rounds you shared with it.
0.2.0
- Follow the device light or dark appearance on the website, matching the app.
- Read the whole website in Icelandic, including the product, design, roadmap, and brand pages.
- Get the one-time sign-in email in the language you were reading the site in.
- Skip straight to page content with the keyboard, with 48 dp touch targets and reduced-motion support throughout.
- See sign-in problems explained in your own language instead of the browser's.
- Share a MeshGolf link and get a branded preview card instead of a bare URL.
- Open a group invite on a page that matches the rest of the site, in both languages.
0.1.0
- Record an 18-hole round on Android with par, metres, and stroke index.
- Share hole and running score with nearby players over Bluetooth LE.
- Create and join nearby groups with a six-character code or a QR invite.
- Keep local rounds, history, and exports on the phone without an account.
- Sign in optionally with a one-time email code for cloud courses and backups.
